Latest company news about Hwalon Launches Anti-Corrosion Potting Epoxy Small Black Head NTC Thermistor to Boost Thermal Safety Control of Outdoor

With the rapid global expansion of photovoltaic energy storage and outdoor charging equipment industries, harsh operating conditions such as high temperature, high humidity and coastal salt fog corrosion inside outdoor cabinets have set new industrial standards for weather resistance, anti-corrosion performance and long-term stable temperature measurement of temperature sensors. Recently, Hwalon Electronic Limited officially released its new-generation Anti Corrosion Potting Epoxy Small Black Head NTC Thermistor. Targeted at core industry pain points of temperature measuring components in outdoor energy storage equipment, including resistance drift caused by moisture, corrosion failure and delayed early warning of thermal runaway, this new product completes the enterprise’s full product matrix of temperature control sensors for new energy applications.

As a professional manufacturer with 15 years of R&D and production experience in NTC thermistors and PTC ceramic heating elements, Hwalon has carried out triple innovations in materials, packaging and manufacturing processes for this new product tailored to outdoor energy storage scenarios. Adopting an integrated vacuum potting process with anti-corrosion modified epoxy resin, multi-layer adhesive layers isolate erosion from moisture, salt fog and trace chemical volatile gas inside cabinets. The product has passed a 72-hour double 85 high-temperature & high-humidity aging test (85℃ / 85%RH) and neutral salt spray corrosion verification, thoroughly solving the industry-wide problem that ordinary epoxy NTCs suffer from severe resistance drift and shortened service life after long-term operation in closed humid cabinets.

In terms of parameter compatibility, this anti-corrosion small black head NTC covers a full resistance range from 5K to 100K Ohm. It can match various temperature control parameter requirements of BMS battery management systems for household energy storage, industrial & commercial energy storage, photovoltaic inverters and outdoor DC charging piles. Customers do not need to stock multiple models, effectively reducing material inventory costs for complete machine manufacturers. It is equipped with dedicated UV-resistant fully insulated anti-aging lead wires. The insulation layer will not crack or harden under long-term outdoor sunlight exposure, eliminating equipment safety faults caused by short circuits from aging wires.

In terms of application value, this product is mainly positioned for temperature monitoring and thermal protection systems of photovoltaic energy storage cabinets and outdoor charging equipment. It continuously collects real-time temperature data of energy storage battery cells and power modules 24/7. Once abnormal temperature rise occurs, it outputs stable resistance signals rapidly to link with the control system to trigger power reduction, heat dissipation or power-off protection, fundamentally avoiding fire risks from thermal runaway of lithium batteries in unattended outdoor energy storage cabins. It complies with increasingly stringent global thermal safety control specifications for the energy storage industry.

Hwalon’s R&D director stated that the global energy storage temperature control components industry is iterating toward three major trends: high reliability and weather resistance, scenario-specialized design and long service life. Overseas energy storage integrators have seen surging demand for outdoor dedicated anti-corrosion temperature sensors, while the delivery cycle of high-end customized products has generally lengthened. Relying on self-owned automated packaging production lines and a full set of reliability testing laboratories, Hwalon can provide rapid sample testing and stable mass supply for this series of anti-corrosion NTC thermistors. OEM & ODM customization of lead wire length, resistance value and mounting structure is supported. Complete environmental protection material reports and damp-heat aging test data are supplied simultaneously to meet overseas customers’ requirements for product certification and factory audits.

Supported by a global foreign trade sales network, Hwalon has opened sample testing channels for this new product to overseas energy storage equipment manufacturers across Southeast Asia, Europe, America, Australia and the Middle East. One-stop export services on FOB Shenzhen basis are available. In the future, Hwalon will continue to deepen its layout in the new energy thermal management track, iterating high-reliability temperature measuring components dedicated to liquid-cooled energy storage, high-voltage energy storage and offshore photovoltaic systems. By supplying high-quality domestic temperature control components, Hwalon will support the safe, long-term and low-cost development of the global energy storage industry, accelerating the process of domestic substitution of high-end NTC thermistors worldwide.

Industry Comment

Energy storage safety is the core bottom line for the high-quality development of new energy storage industries. Complex outdoor environments greatly increase the risk of temperature sensor failure. Hwalon’s newly launched anti-corrosion potting dedicated NTC thermistor precisely targets the segmented track of outdoor temperature measurement for energy storage. It fills industry product shortcomings from multiple dimensions including encapsulation materials, weather-resistant processes and full resistance compatibility. The company provides standardized, high-reliability and customizable outdoor thermal management temperature measurement solutions for energy storage complete machine manufacturers at home and abroad, further consolidating Hwalon’s overseas market competitiveness in the field of new energy temperature control sensors.
